Virginia J. George, 78, of Little Rock died December 7, 2011. Born November 18, 1933 in Charleston, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Isaac J. and Irene Berry McDaniel. A member of the Church of Christ, she was a retired insurance coordinator for the Association of Arkansas Counties. She was an avid reader, and genealogist and enjoyed embroidery and dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Don and Dale McDaniel. Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Bill George; sister, Reva Hallford of Independence, MO and brother, James Wesley McDaniel and his wife Barbara of Charleston, Ark. four nieces, Kim Williams of Little Rock, Kellly Bishop of Conway, Ark., Lavon Komp and her husband, Jackie, of Subiaco, Ark. and Myra Sue Morris and her husband, Roger, of Ft. Smith, Ark.; five nephews, Daniel Hallford of Independence, Mo., Darrell Hallford and his wife, Linda, of Blue Springs, Mo., Joe Dale McDaniel of Mountainburg, AR., Dana McDaniel and his wife, Johanna, of Greenwood, Ark., and Billy Don McDaniel of Charleston, Ark.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. today (Friday) at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery North Little Rock. Family visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. today at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St. Little Rock (501) 661-9111.
