Hyndman
Virginia Keevill Hyndman, a long time resident of Huntingdon Valley, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2011 at her home at the age of 98. Throughout her life, she was the devoted wife of the late William Hyndman III.
Born in Glenside, on May 27, 1912, Ginny was a graduate of Abington High School. She was the daughter of Thomas Henry Keevill and Freda Peterson Keevill.
After high school and during her early years of marriage, Ginny worked at Strawbridge & Clothier in addition to teaching Sunday school at Abington Presbyterian Church. Thereafter, she spent the majority of her time raising her four children while her husband started an insurance business and became a nationally ranked, amateur golfer. As part of her husband’s golfing success, Ginny traveled extensively throughout Great Britian, Europe and the United States. She is predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Jane Hyndman and son, Thomas M. Hyndman.
Ginny is survived by a son, William Hyndman IV and a daughter, Faith V. Hyndman. She was Nana to her four grandchildren, Wendy Hyndman Combs, William Hyndman V, John Wheeler Richards, Jr and Virginia Richards Senn, and nine great-grandsons.
Services and interment are to be private.
