Mrs. Vivian Cervantes, 81, died in the early hours of February 6, 2011 at Loma Linda Hospital of a major stroke. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Pearl Fluck, in 1977 and her father, Donald Fluck, in 1972 . For the last 15 years she had lived in Hesperia, CA. She was born on April 12, 1930 in Johnstown, PA and lived in California since 1975. Mrs. Cervantes was a member of Our Lady of the Desert, in Apple Valley, CA since her marriage to her husband Ramon Cervantes in 1999. Vivian acquired her Masters Degree in Philosophy from Claremont Graduate Schools. She was an avid reader and loved the beauty of the wild flowers, poppies and all the wonderful colors of the world. She is survived by her husband, Ramon Cervantes of Hesperia, CA, her daughters Cathleen Ratliff (husband Ken from Oak Hills, CA), Colleen Working (husband Brad from Yucaipa, CA), Jocelyn Eicher (from Earlsboro, OK) and Dawna Lawrence (from North Carolina), and her only son Patrick Laughrey (wife Amy, from The Woodlands, TX) and a step daughter Xochitl Alvarado(husband Jess from Arizona City, Arizona). Vivian is survived by 12 grandchildren, 2 step grand children and 4 great grandchildren . Viewing is Wednesday, 2/15/12, at 10:00am at Sunset Hills memorial Park & Mortuary, 24000 Waalew Rd, Apple Valley, Ca., 92307 and the service will follow at the same location at noon with the grave site service immediately following, also at the same location. There will be a celebration of her life to follow at her daughter's, Cathy Ratliff, home at 7631 Bellflower St., Oak Hills, Ca, 92344.
