Vivian N. McGrady, 85, passed away on July 25, 2011. She was born on March 14, 1926 in Listonburg, Pennsylvania to the late Percy and Florence Livengood. Vivian was a member of the Richville United Church of Christ and former member of the Canton Baptist Temple and Otterbein United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Richville Women's Club, Perry Grange, a Red Cross Volunteer, the Perry Card Club and AARP. Vivian enjoyed playing euchre, was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her many accomplishments included Woman of the Year of the Richville Women's Club and Senior Citizen of the Year of Perry Twp. Preceded in death by her husband, Dean W. McGrady, whom she married on October 28, 1950; she is survived by her son, Bill (Gail) McGrady; daughters, Sharon (James) Clark, Susie (Carl) Griffin and Shirley (Michael) Burkhart; grandchildren, Jimmy Dean Clark, Melissa Clark, Michelle Dodd, Lt. Matthew Griffin, Christopher Griffin, Bill McGrady, Jr., Andrea Keim, Emily Kress, Tim McGrady, Ashlee Halter and Bryan Halter; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Reed Funeral Home, Canton Chapel, where the Perry Grange will hold a service at 4:45 p.m. Pastor Barry Bordenkircher will officiate at the funeral service 11:00 Friday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Richville United Church of Christ.
