Viviane Therese Boas

Boas, Viviane Therese, age 61, a long term resident of southern California, passed away on November 20, 2011 in Wichita, Kansas near her family. Vivi was born in Sao Paolo, Brazil and came to the USA in 1986, after living in Europe and Latin America. Vivi was the daughter of Dr. Ernest Arthur Boas, a prominent businessman from Germany, and Liselotte Reis Boas. She was raised in Switzerland and Brazil and came to the USA to complete a Bachelors of Fine Arts at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and a Masters in Fine Arts at California State University, Los Angeles. Vivi was known as an exceptionally talented artist in several mediums, including paintings and sculptures. Vivi displayed her work in California and in museums in France and Switzerland. She was a very caring and cheerful person who loved to enjoy life. She is survived by her sons, Rene Boas Peres and Thomas Boas Peres; and three grandchildren, Julian Boas Peres, Arden Boas Peres, and Kara Viviane Boas Peres.
