W. Raleigh Phillips, 71, of the 2000 block of Iowa Street, Chesapeake, VA, passed away July 14, 2010, in his home. A native of North Carolina, he was the son of the late Grover and Marian Phillips. He was a carpenter and a US Army veteran. He is survived by his seven brothers, Benjamin Phillips (Miriam) and Robert Phillips (Donna) of California, David Phillips (Lois) and Albert Phillips (Sandra) of Chesapeake, VA, Roy Phillips (Charlene) of California, Leo Phillips (Priscilla) and Earl Phillips of Chesapeake, VA; and a sister, Clara Powers (Dicky) of Suffolk, VA.
