W. Wynell Johnson, 85, formerly of Moline, IL died Monday, January 02, 2012 at Aspen Rehab and Health Care, Silvis, IL.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 also at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens.
Wynell was born on December 14, 1926 to Lem and Velma (White) Franks of Fayette County, AL. She married Olen Johnson on July 30, 1945 in Winfield, AL. He preceded her in death on January 21, 1986. Wynell worked for the Coolige School cafeteria and later went on to work as a housekeeper for the former Lutheran Hospital in Moline for 15 years as a housekeeper. Wynell was a member of Church of Christ in Moline and she adored her grandchildren.
