Walter Harold Bible, 74, of 131 Gray Street, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born July 30, 1935, in Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Edward and Edna Mae Kirby Bible. He was retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a member of Beaumont Baptist Church where he was a deacon, and a member of the Spartanburg County Bowling Association Hall of Fame.

Survivors include his wife, Gayle Potts Bible; two sons, Larry Bible and wife Laurie of Waynesville, NC, and Todd Bible and wife Jackie of Cowpens; a daughter, Anita Campbell and husband George of Taylors; two grandsons, Leevon Bible and Ethan Bible; and four granddaughters, Lily Bible, Shannon Campbell, Lyla Bible, and Nichole Bible.

Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010, at Beaumont Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Mike McKee and the Rev. John Cox. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beaumont Baptist Church Building Fund, 945 Beaumont Avenue Ext., Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family is at the home, 131 Gray Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
