Walter George Pelkey

Gloucester: Walter George Pelkey, died December 5, 2011 at Walter Reed Convalescent Center. He was 75. Mr. Pelkey retired from the US Air Force following 30 years of loyalty to our country.
After retirement from the Air Force, Walter majored in Electrical Engineering receiving his degree from NC State University and became associated with the Naval Warfare Center in Chesapeake.
His wife, Barbara as well as his parents, Patrick and Helen Pelkey preceded him in death.

2 sons: Grey Pelkey and wife Leslie
Kyle Pelkey and wife Beth
6 grandchildren: Rob, Natalie & Bobby Brake; Joshua, Nicolas & Michael Pelkey
Siblings: Vernon Pelkey, Juanita McPherson, Carol Pelkey, Blaine Pelkey, Penny O'Neil, Terry Pelkey, Virginia Barringer, Steve Pelkey
A graveside service, conducted by the Reverend Rita Staul, will be held Thursday, 9:30 a.m., at Deep Run Baptist Church Cemetery, 10907 Three Chopt Road, Richmond, VA 23233. Friends will assemble at the cemetery.
