Mr. Walter R. "Bud" Johnson

Walter R. “Bud” Johnson, passed away at Treasure Coast Hospice on July 28, 2011. He was born September 26, 1922 in Stamford, CT. He lived in Stuart, FL for many years. He served in the Marine Corp during WWII for four years. He was with the fourth Marine Division on the Marshall Islands, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. Before retiring he worked for WR Johnson Co. in Stamford, CT for 50 years, retiring as President of the company.
He was a member of the Woodway CC in Darien, CT and the Jr – Sr Golf of CT. He is a member of the Yacht & CC in Stuart.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances “Hattie” Johnson; sons, Douglas and David Johnson of Stamford, CT, six grandchildren, Kelly, Alyson, Matthew, Cory, Jaime and Dana.
Funeral will be private in Stamford, CT.
