OBITUARY: WALTER STANTON SCOTT Walter S. Scott, 74, of Nashua, passed away on Monday August 31, 2009 at the Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH. Walter was born in Brighton, MA on October 8, 1934 a son of the late Walter W. & Margaret (Ridge) Scott. He was a loving and devoted husband to Marilyn (McGovern) Scott of Nashua. Walter was a longtime resident of Nashua. He was a 1952 graduate of Boston College High School. He had attended Tufts University in Boston and St. Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Walter was a loyal employee of AMSCO/Steris Co. for 40 years. He was a US Army veteran. Walter was a communicant of St. Patrick Church. After a courageous battle with cancer , Walter has left this world in peace. He was a true and caring friend to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a wonderful father and an amazing grandfather. Besides his wife of 50 years, Walter is survived by; Three daughters; Deborah Nelson and her husband Dan of Maple Grove, MN, Kathleen Murphy and her husband Finbar of St. Paul, MN and Carolyn Scott-Dietsch and her husband Greg of White Bear Lake, MN Two grandchildren; Matthew Nelson and Grant Nelson Also several nieces, nephews and cousins SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 3, 2009 from 4 to 7 PM in the ANCTIL-ROCHETTE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 4, 2009 in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring St., Nashua, NH at 10:00 AM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
