Wanda Sue Griffey, 59, of 657 McCullough Hollow Road, Salt Lick, passed away Monday March 17, 2009 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV after an extended illness.
Wanda was born September 2, 1949 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Henry and Linia Pergram Leach. She was a former employee of Accutronix Mfg. in Owingsville.
Survivors include her husband, Allen Griffey, 1 son, David Combs, Jr. and his wife Regina of Salt Lick, 2 sisters, Nellie Corey and her husband Marlin of Owingsville and Serena Smith and her husband Randy of Salt Lick, 2 brothers, Ralph Leach and Bobby Leach both of Salt Lick and 2 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday March 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Smith and Bro. Marlin Corey officiating. Interment will follow at Dickerson Cemetery in Salt Lick. Visitation will be from 6 - 9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
