Wayne Edward Parker, 65, of Baytown passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Houston. Wayne was born September 19, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Walter and Inez Parker. Wayne proudly served his country in The United States Army. Wayne was the life of the party, or any social gathering. He especially enjoyed spending time at the community center of his apartment complex playing cards, dominos, or just visiting. Wayne will be remembered for a quick wit, a dry sense of humor, and a big heart. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Parker is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and David Jones of Baytown; life-long friend, Brenda Duclos of Baytown; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Tim Hayes of Highlands; daughter, Amy Gnagy of Pennsylvania; and grandchildren, Zach Hayes, Sarah Hayes, Louis Gnagy, Joe Gnagy, and Krystena Gnagy. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown. A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum of Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Bill Yowell presiding. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
