Wayne L. Shaver, 77, of Searcy, died February 27, 2011. Mr. Shaver was born March 29, 1933 in Gary, Indiana to the late Elmer and Esther Thronesbery Shaver.

He was a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ, a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in the Korean War; and worked 32 years at U.S. Steel in Indiana as a pipe fitter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers.

Left to cherish the memories of Mr. Shaver is his wife of 51 years, Anna Marie Shaver; one son, Jeffrey Alan Shaver and wife Elizabeth; two daughters, Michelle Holt and husband Jeffrey, and Jennifer Willow Shaver; five grandchildren, Jared and Carson Shaver, and Peyton, Benjamin, and Emma Holt.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday March 2 from 6-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cloverdale Church of Christ.
