Wesley Eugene Clark

Wesley Eugene Clark, 84, passed away peacefully January 6, 2012 at the Raleigh Center in Daniels WV where he had resided for several years.
Born September 1, 1927 in Sophia, WV, Mr. Clark was the son of the late Harvey James Clark and Lillie Dell Moye Clark.
He graduated from Stoco High School and had served honorably in the US Navy. Mr. Clark was a former employee of Peabody Coal at Affinity and had retired as a fire boss.
He had previously attended White Oak Baptist Church and also Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Donnie Smith Clark, and by two sisters, Pauline Clark Morgan of Baltimore MD and Lucy Clark Mann of Beaver WV. He is survived by brother Donald Clark of South Attleboro MA and by nieces Donna Sue and Karen Mann of Beckley WV and Rene Kelley-Weitzien of Baltimore MD and nephews Tom Morgan, James Morgan and Edward Morgan, all of Baltimore MD, and David Mann of Christiansburg VA
Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Williams Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia with Pastor F.D.Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Hot Coal Cemetery.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 12 -1 PM at the funeral home.
