Wheeler Billings

Services for Wheeler Clinton Billings, 78, of Lubbock will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 2, 2010 in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jim Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Mr. Billings passed away peacefully on August 30, 2010 with his loving wife of sixty years at his side.

Wheeler Clinton Billings was born June 15, 1932 in Cholera, Oklahoma. He married JoAnn Landers on January 27, 1951. Wheeler was a sales representative for Southwest Saw Service, retiring in 1995. He was a deacon at Monterey Baptist Church and very proud of his Choctaw Indian Heritage.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; son, Clinton Ray Billings and wife, Lisa of Dallas; daughter, Cathy Ann Buehring and husband, Dennis of Port Lavaca; grandchildren, Christopher Wall, Ryder Billings and Travis Buehring.

The family suggests memorials to the Building Fund of Monterey Baptist Church.

He was a friend to many and to his family he was their Honey, Daddy and Papa Wheeler.
