Wilbur Ray "Buddy" Painter, age 75, of Manassas, Virginia passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Prince William Hospital after a bout with pneumonia and a courageous battle with heart disease surrounded by his loving family.
Born December 24, 1929 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Buddy lived a fulfilling life. He served in the U.S. Army and eventually retired from Drug Fair Incorporated after 43 years of dedicated service as a merchandising coordinator. He was a resident of Manassas for 38 years and was an avid sports fan . He will be fondly remembered by his family, neighbors, and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Larnie L. Painter; three children, Tammy Famoso and husband Doug of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Becky Kirby and husband Bobby of Manassas, Virginia and Frederick Painter and wife Patricia of Herndon, Virginia; Grandchildren, Gary and Kevin Famoso, Emily, Melissa and Alecia Kirby, Eugene and Cara Cullen; Sister, Betty Fullerton of Lynchburg, Virginia; Sisters-in-law: Jackie, Betty, Linda and Janie; Brothers-in-law, Bobby Stanley and his wife Lois, Monte Minton and his wife May, best friend of 30 years, Donald and Joanne Oakes and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, January 7, 2005 at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 8, 2005. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, Virginia.
