Will "Bill" Hall, 91, of Hot Springs, AR passed away peacefully at a local rehabilitation center on Sunday, January 29, 2012.
He was born December 4, 1920, in Augusta, KS. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Martha Jane Hall, parents Floyd and Mildred Hall, and brother Darold Hall. Will is survived by two daughters, Pamela Hall and Beverly Whitley, both of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law Keith and Camellia Hall of Cabot; three grandsons David Hall of Paragould, Douglas Hall, and wife Erin, of Sherwood, Will Whitley and wife Tiffany, of Hot Springs, and one granddaughter Lauren Whitley of Hot Springs; seven great-grandchildren, Hayden & Hadley Nelson, Madison & Morgan Hall, and Halle, Harrison, & Hendrix Whitley; one sister, Freida Wooten of Hot Springs.
Will was a former employee of the Social Security Administration and Oaklawn Racing and Gaming. He was an avid bowler, golfer, and outdoorsmen, as well as a member of the Elks Lodge and Moose Lodge. Will was also a WW II veteran, serving in the infantry, earning 5 Bronze Stars for 5 different campaigns. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all that knew him, and there are many.
There will be a memorial service at Crestview Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4th, 2012. The family will be sharing a few memories to be followed by an Honor Guard. Following the memorial service there will be celebration of Will's life at a family member's home in Hot Springs.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VA or USO.
