William (Bill) Jerret Grisham passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. He was born November 1, 1921 to the late Charles and Rebecca Grisham in Fountain Lake, AR. Bill was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Grisham was a Christian man who loved God and his church and family in that order. He was a charter member of the Hot Springs Baptist Church, who elected him Deacon Emeritus in 2010.
He served as a member of the U.S. Air Force during World War II in the Pacific area.
Mr. Grisham was predeceased by his wife Wilma Deaton Grisham in 2000. He was also pre-deceased by his sisters Ethel Guinn, Lucille Harvey, Marie Canada, Bernice Snodgrass, and brothers Willis and Roscoe.
He is survived by his wife Jackie LaNell Rasberry Grisham; son Jerret Ray (Pete) Grisham (Jere Gail) of Hattisburg , MS; two grandchildren , Lindsey Faber of Roswell, GA and Richard Grisham (Danielle) of Columbus, N.J.; great-grandchildren Jere Lynn Romig (Matt) and Tony Faber, also of Roswell, GA, and Leo Grisham and a great-great grandson Tidus Romig. Mr. Grisham is also survived by a step-son Greg Parish (Lisa) and step-grandson Dylan Parish (Faith) of South Pekin, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jim Alford, Bill Bohannon, Stoval Farmer, Don Grisham, Olen Burnett, James Gilliand, Walter Grinnis and Ross Wisley.
Honorary pall bearers will be the members of Sam Wendell's Sunday School class.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 21 at Gross Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gerald Taylor and Rev. Manley Beasley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hot Springs Baptist Church.
Burial will be at Crestview Cemetery.
