I was doing a classmate search for several classmates that left a lasting impression on my life, you being one of them. I wrote to Darcy (Eisenhart) Stuck to see if she knew where you were and when I did a Facebook search, I found out about your Father passing.

I was saddened to hear of the loss your your father. I get updates from the tribute page and try to keep up with the news of st. joseph area. We have been in Ca since 1996. I used to do your nails at the shop on cleveland ave.
Your father is at peace now. Treasure the special times you had will get you thru this sad times.

Nancy and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. We fondly remember Bill. Vic knew him over 50 years, working with him at Whirlpool and as a friend. Sending love and hugs from Florida to Michigan.

Bill was part of a small group of retiree's that loved to help down at the Basin. If it was just to help hold a line when launching or hauling a boat to and from the water, Bill was always there. And he loved to help pull and step sailboat mast, we would call him a few day's before hand and (Bill would even bring his own tool's) and on those special days, Bill would have Nancy make one of her special dessert's we could feast on after we were done. And when I had trouble with some moles at the marina, it was Bill who brought his traps down to help. Even getting his glasses broke in the process :). And when our daughter wanted to get married a week before I left for Iraq, it was Bill who offered his chauffer services. Basically, Bill was the last of the West Basin Retiree's Group. I worked very closely with Bill for many years at Whirlpool and then when he retired I saw him at the West Basin Marina almost every day. He was a brilliant man, fun to be with and just a good friend to many, many people, He will be missed. We should just give thanks to our God that he was here to make all our lives better....... RIP Bill , you always were a good friend and a great man.

I treasured you and Nancy as friends for a very long time. I will never forget how good and helpful you two have been to me when I was alone with two small children and how you, Bill, helped me with so many technical problems, so I would not have to call a repair man, and taught me so many things, like changing a fuse in the fuse box. We've had a lot of good times -- which will always be remembered. Hilde

My condolences to the family of Bill Robandt. I was a designer and inventor with Whirlpool for 28 years and knew Bill very well. We worked together on several projects and he was a joy to work with. I retired in 1984 and enjoy my retirement. Sounds like Bill enjoyed his also. Sincerely Bill Kennedy.
