Denson, William Carl, 81 went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 4, 2012. Bill was born in1930 in Sanford, FL. but grew grew up in Orlando, FL. He attended Concord Elementary School, Memorial Junior High School, and was a graduate of Orlando High School class of 1948. He was a graduate of Clemson University class of 1952 where he was a member of Blue Key. Bill was a Professional Engineer. He began his career with the firm of Fiske-Wolpert Associates which later became the firm of Tilden, Denson & Lobnitz Consulting Engineers. The firm designed many hospitals and schools in the Central Florida area. In 1980, Bill founded the firm of Hayes-Denson Associates, PE. Subsequently, Bill worked with Orange County Government in the Construction Administration Department and with the Orange County Convention Center until 2001. He was a lifetime member of The First Baptist Church of Orlando and a member of The University Club of Orlando. Bill was an Eagle Scout in his teens and an advocate for Florida wildlife and nature conservation. He was also active with his sons Scott and Doug in Scouting. Bill enjoyed boating and taught his daughter fishing and water skiing. His parents Dewey E. Denson and Austine S. Denson and his son Douglas Carl Denson precede him. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Alice Dulaney Denson, son Tyler Scott Denson (Rita) New Smyrna Beach, daughter Denise Leslie Newburger (Jerry) Apopka. Grandson Tyler William Denson, Daytona Beach, Granddaughter Lauren Michelle Denson, Jacksonville. The family is having a private service but requests in lieu of flowers please send donations to The First Baptist Church of Orlando in Bill's memory.
