SAUGUS-Mr. William F. Mabee, 85 years, died on Friday at the Peabody-Glen Nursing Center in the presence of his daughter and best friend Edward "Wizzy" Wierbowski of Saugus.
Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Estella (Henneberry) Mabee. A World War II U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Mabee was a graduate of Classical High School in Lynn. He worked for many years as a carpenter and loberstman. Mr. Mabee was a life member of the Fox Hill Yacht Club.
He is survived by one daughter; Donna Mabee of Lynn, one son; William P. Mabee of Saugus, five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was the step-father of Wayne Moran of Rhode Island. Mr. Mabee was the brother of the late Cyril Mabee, Benjamin Mabee, Anita Nardone, and Mildred Hallahan.
A funeral will be held from the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS, on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Margaret's Church, 431 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives & friends invited.
