William G. Berghoff, 70, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Arizona. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, William attended Marmion Military Academy and received his Master's Degree from Xavier University. Throughout the years he was involved in the ownership of Wayne Home Equipment, Diversitec, Inc., Price Williams and was a Real Estate Investor. William was on the Board of Directors at St. Francis University, Pathways, Inc (Runaway Teens), ARC and St. Anne's Nursing Home. He was also a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and enjoyed entertaining family and friends at Lake Gage. Surviving are his sons, William F. (Barbara) Berghoff and Daniel Martin Berghoff both of Fort Wayne, Michael G. Berghoff of Las Vegas, NV, John Edward (Gina) Berghoff of Fredericksburg, VA and Andrew Joseph (Jason Adams) Berghoff of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; and sister, Martha A. Ryan. William was preceded in death by his father, Norbert G. (Viola S.) Berghoff; mother, Elizabeth Noll Berghoff; former wife, Juanita C. Stanford; and sister, June E. Miller. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30am Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 S. Fairfield Ave, Fr. Cyril Fernandes officiating, with calling one hour prior. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, with Rosary at 7pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
