William G. Gilbert, age 75, of Crossett, AR passed away on September 12, 2012 at Ashley County Medical Center. He was born on September 4, 1937 in Hope, AR to his parents, Ansley Olen and Lillian Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert was employed by the postal service for 32 years. He had been a member of the Quorum Court and the Lions Club. Mr. Gilbert enjoyed camping and fishing. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Gilbert of Crossett, AR; three sons, Steve Gilbert, Dana Gilbert, both of Hope, AR, Brice Gilbert of Crossett, AR; one daughter, Karen Russell of Monticello, AR; one brother, James Gilbert of Midland, TX; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.com)

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to service.
