William Kip Geitgey, age 57, of North Canton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. He was born in Canton OH on July 31, 1954 and was a longtime member of Canton Grace Brethren Church. He was employed as a mechanic for 29 years. Kip was an outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, fishing and coaching Little League Baseball. He had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed. He will always be remembered as a loving and caring father, grandfather, son and brother. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dylan. Survivors include his four children, Robert (Amy) Geitgey of Louisville, KY, Ronald (Lauren) Geitgey of Michigan, Jamie Geitgey of Louisville, KY and Michelle Geitgey of Canton, OH; 11 grandchildren; his parents, William W. and Shirley A. Geitgey of Canton; his siblings, Michael (Shelly) Geitgey of North Canton, James Geitgey of Louisville, OH and Kathy Geitgey of North Canton; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11am in Canton Grace Brethren Church, 6283 Market Ave. N. with Pastor Joseph M. Cosentino officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10-11am on Monday in the church. The Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
