William Lloyd Mitchell, 69, of Ruleville died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at North Sunflower Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Higdon Herrington and Rev. Larry Chouccoli officiating. Burial will follow in Lehrton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the funeral home.

Mr. Mitchell was born on September 17, 1940 in Marie, MS to Floyd Norris Mitchell and Geneva McDonald Mitchell. He married Ann Mallette of Linn on April 8, 1972. He was a farmer until his retirement and a member of the Ruleville Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Geneva Mitchell; and his brother, Floyd Norris Mitchell.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Mallette Mitchell of Ruleville; two daughters, Amy Mitchell Smith of Batesville and Melanie Mitchell Shive of Cleveland; and five grandchildren, Anna, Justin, and Hunter Smith, and Sydney and Blake Shive; two sisters, Christine Pannel of Indianola, Weesie Walker (Billy) of Heber Springs, Arkansas; and his Aunt Lucy Lawler (Sonny) of Pace, MS.
