William M. Hauguel, 77, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2009 in his home. William was born on April 26, 1931, in South Bend to Louis and Mary (Buzolich) Hauguel, who both preceded him in death. William was a lifelong resident of South Bend. He retired as a purchasing manager from Allied Signal, where he was employed for 40 years. On June 1, 1957, in St. Casimir Church, he married his wife, Beverly J. Hauguel, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Melanie Brennan and Kimberly (Larry) Shreve both of Mishawaka, IN; two sons, Brian (Debbie) Hauguel and Eric (Joni) Hauguel both of South Bend, IN; six grandchildren, Brooke, Dalton, Nicole, Courtney, Madison and Jacob; and three brothers, Louis (Maryann) Hauguel of Florida, Larry (Jeanette) Hauguel of South Bend, IN and Leo (Chris) Hauguel of Arizona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, March 16, 2009 in Queen of Peace Church. Entombment will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. Friends may also call from 8:30 until 9:15 a.m. on Monday for viewing in Queen of Peace Church. William served in the United States Army from 1950-1952. He was a 1957 graduate of Purdue University and received his Masters Degree from Indiana University. He was a musician for over 40 years in the Bill Henry Orchestra. William was a member of the Bendix Management Club and the Knights of Columbus Council #5570. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and spending time at his lake house. He always enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council #5570.
