William R. Techanchuk, 61, of the 2600 block of Pleasant Acres Drive, Virginia Beach, VA, passed away May 4, 2011, in his home. A native of New Jersey, he was the son of the late William Techanchuk. He was a member, Elder and part of the Pastoral Staff at Wave Church. He was a loving and loyal husband, father and grandfather for over 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Gaye Techanchuk; his son, William R. Techanchuk, Jr. and wife Nichole; his mother, Elsie Techanchuk; his brother, Douglas Techanchuk; and three grandchildren, Savannah, Sophia and Sydney Techanchuk. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Wave Church with Pastor Steve Kelly officiating. The burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wave Church Missions Program, 1000 Great Neck Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23454 or Orphans Tree Lakinsk Orphanage, 1413 Dark Pine Ct., Monument, CO 80132.
