Mr. William Clarence Sipple, Jr. 71, of Walkersville, died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at his daughter’s residence near Taneytown after a four month illness. Born August 8, 1936 in Frederick, he was the son of the late William C. Sr. and Virginia Ramsburg  Sipple. He was the husband of Patricia Jane Crider Sipple who died in 1998. Mr. Sipple was a 1957 graduate of Richard Montgomery High School, Rockville. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a foreman in HVAC until his retirement in 1999. He was a Washington Redskin fan, loved to play golf and spend time with his family. Surviving are 4 children, Linda Diane Schwartzback and husband Ralph of Rockville; Mark Daniel Sipple and wife Debra Jo of Frederick ; Denise Lynne Wolfer and husband Jonathan of Taneytown; Debra Sue McConnell and husband Paul Sr. of Walkersville; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer Mills, Ralph Jr. and Matthew Schwartzback, Jessica and Amanda Sipple, Christopher and Wayne Sipple, Nicole and Paul McConnell Jr., Suzanne and Clayton Sipple; 2 great grandchildren, Raice Wivel and Mallory Mills; and a sister, Nancy Dyson of Mt. Airy. He was predeceased by a son, David Allen Sipple in 1991 and 2 sisters, Shirley Rabbitt and Judy Begosh. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31 at Hartzler Funeral Home, 404 S. Main St., Woodsboro. Inurnment will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 30.
