William R. Stanzel, 94, of Green Valley, AZ, and formerly of Rocky River, passed away on June 26, 2011. He graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College and continued his post-graduate education as a corporate executive, helping to build Automatic Sprinkler Corp. in 1964 into a multinational, billion dollar Figgie International, from which he retired in the 1980's. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a member of Quarry Lodge #382 in Berea, and was a member of the Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Green Valley. He is survived by his beloved wife, Velma R. Stanzel, of Green Valley, AZ. and was the beloved father of William C. Stanzel, who resides in Amando, AZ. Services will be held on July 9, at 11am. at Lakewood Park Cemetery Chapel, 22025 Detroit Rd., Rocky River, Ohio.
