William Xavier McCowan age 2 of Lancaster, Texas passed away March 5, 2011. Born June 11, 2008 to Willie and Precious McCowan in Dallas, Texas.
William enjoyed his family; he called each of them by his very own endearing name. He loved going to church and praising God, he would often say "Praise God", "Hallelujah", "Thank you Jesus". He was faithful to pray the Lord's Prayer at bedtime and very aware that Jesus exists saying, "call Jesus" and "I pray for you". He once told his mother, he had seen Jesus and Jesus said "Hi William"
He was lovingly cared for by family members the first years of his life, the he enrolled in New Mt. Zion Day Care and he loved his teachers. He helped the teachers by echoing their sentiments "quite please". He was a bright boy and enjoyed learning.
William was truly a blessing in his life and a servant in his death. He was an organ donor and this sevice will improve or save the life of others. William leaves to cherish his memories; loving parents, Willie and Precious (Baby) McCowan, his devoted grandparents, Floyd Black and Glenda Joe; Cornelius McCowan and Dorothy McCowan; adoring great grandparents, Milly Bailey; Clenthal Irving; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was a joy to us all and we love him very much.
