William Yamane CLEARFIELD – Peace at last, William Yamane, 89, joined his sweetheart, Miyeko Nakagawa Yamane on January 17, 2010 after missing her terribly these past 15 years. William was born July 29, 1920 in Payson, Utah. He was the first child of twelve born to Yasaburo Yamane and Tsuruyo Kuwamoto. He moved to Layton, Utah and farmed with his family. He graduated from Davis High School in 1938. On March 3, 1946 he married Miyeko (Minnie) Nakagawa from Rexburg, Idaho. They settled in Clearfield. Besides farming William worked at Hill Air Force Base. They bought their home in Clearfield in 1956 where they both lived until their deaths. Later, William and Minnie farmed in Rupert and Murtaugh, Idaho. Always maintaining both residences in Clearfield and Murtaugh. William was an honorable man, good provider, loyal husband and cherished father. He loved his children and grandchildren. Although a quiet man that didn't boast in life he didn't hesitate to brag of his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. In his last days his biggest smiles went to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Grandpa was loved and will be missed by them all. He has been a great example of hard work and loyalty to his children and taught them how to work to get the job done. His garden was always beautiful and he shared it with so many. Never a complainer and stalwart to the end of his earthly life he will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents, his dear wife, one brother Sam Yamane of Syracuse, and a baby sister. Survived by his children Larry (Cindy) of Twin Falls, Idaho and Stanley (Cindy) of Syracuse, Utah. Siblings, Arlene Yamane, sister in law of Syracuse, Utah, James (Sumiko) of Colorado, Kozo of Washington, Helen Higashida of California, Michiko Kawauchi of Washington, Natsuko Gerberding of California, Jun of Washington, Yayoi Yamashita (Hiroshi) of Hooper, Utah, Tamiko Sato (Rod) of Maryland, Pamela Sato (Alan) of Roy, Utah.
