Mr. Willie Gene Sowells

Willie Gene Sowells was born March 2, 1951 in Waxahachie, Texas. He was a resident of Dallas for about 15 years. He attended Freedom for all Community Church, where he was a faithful attendee of Sunday School and was ordained a deacon in 2010.

"Uncle Willie," as he was affectionately called, worked for several years at Child First academy in Arlington and at Bertland Day Care in Dallas. He worked also for Concord Baptist Church in the maintenance department.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Eartha Sowels Burrell; one brother, Travis McCuin; one sister, Ola Moore. He is survived by his youngest sister, Artie Wilson of California; 8 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins and other relatives.
