Willie Howard Riddick, Sr., 80 of Roselle, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at VA Medical Center, East Orange. He was born to the Late Mary Allen and Willie Matthew Riddick on May 9, 1930 in Portsmouth, Virginia where he graduated from public school system. In 1957, he moved to Roselle. Willie had served in the United States Army from 1947 to 1950 and received a certificate for military service. He was employed as a Tool and Die Maker for Jacobson Tool & Die Manufacturing Company in Kenilworth, New Jersey for twenty years. Willie was a member of Heard AME Church and member of Sportsmen's 10 Social Club of Roselle. He was a likeable person who befriended all he met. He was known as an impeccable (fashionable) dresser. He leaves to cherish fond memories: his devoted wife of sixty years, Catherine Riddick; son, Willie H. Riddick, Jr. (Patty); 4 daughters, Sharon Gaines, Dr. Joanie T. Greene of Fayetteville, NC, Kim Riddick (Row), and Melanie Armstrong (Doyle Sr.); brother-in-law, Clinton Bell (Darlene); eight grandchildren, Gary, Thelita, Rashad, Terron, Shakira, Nicole, Michael and Doyle, Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; one niece and a host of other relatives and friends.
