Willie James Smith, Jr., affectionately known as "Bill", was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 25, 1986 to Mona J. Roberts and Willie James Smith, Sr. Bill accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized. He continued to seek the Lord throughout his life and encouraged others to do the same. Bill graduated high school in May 2004 from St. Louis Christian Academy. He always desired to work in the medical field and his dream was fulfilled when he accepted a position at Emmaus Homes working with the developmentally disabled. He recently became CPR/First Aid Certified and passed his Certified Medical Technician (CMT) exam. He was a caring and dedicated employee and he was loved by all. Bill had a charming personality and winning smile. His interests included basketball, soccer, and refurbishing cars. There was nothing fake about Bill and he always stayed true to himself. He had a multitude of friends and had a true impact on their lives. He will be greatly missed. Our Lord and Savior called Bill home on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledgement Him and He shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 Bill leaves to cherish his loving memories: a devoted and loving mother and step-father, Mona and Edward Foster; a loving father, Willie James Smith, Sr. (Katherine); 4 sisters, Natisha Long-Bateman (Dujuan), Lashana Long, Jaunita Roberts, and Monique Roberts; 1 brother, Aaron Smith; a caring grandmother Bettye Troupe-Frye; 3 special nieces, Ashley, Nyla, and Nadia; other nieces and nephews; 1 uncle, Armont Sr.; 7 aunts, Evette, Patricia, Alice, Velta, Doretha, Prascilla, and Gwendolyn; great aunts and 1 great uncle, cousins, and friends.
