Willie Steen "Cat Daddy" Coleman age 73 of Dallas, Texas passed away December 3, 2011. Willie was born to the union of Harvey Matthew "Pete" Coleman and Willie Bell Brown on February 21, 1938 in Palestine, Texas. Both his parents precede him in his journey home as well as, his siblings, Modina Coleman, Ethel Coleman and Matthew Coleman. Willie is survived by Jack Coleman, Marvin Coleman, and Harvey Coleman, Jr.
Willie attended Providence School in Montalba, Texas and held various careers over the span of his life time. Talk about a jack of all trades, he has been a cook, done some work in carpentry, a chef, trained as a mechanic, a butcher and moonlighted as a comedian to name a few of his specialties. If there was money to be made Willie could get it done.
Willie loved living life and faced it with vim, vigor and vitality. His charms his views on life, his compassion, and the warmth of his smile are the things that will be remember most.
Willie took the hand of Carolyn Ann Adams, who preceded him in death. During their 40 years together they parented six children. Cassandra Deadmon, Ronald Gray, Kathy Poston (Anthony), Vivian Coleman, Diedra Coleman, Harvey Coleman (Atarka), and Daylin Henderson. Willie's grandchildren, Eric, Christina, Tiffany, Britney, Kristen, Brian, Brianna, Tajah and Matthew lovingly refer to him as Papaw. His great grandchildren and Brandon, Dev'on and Christian.
With so many other relatives and friends we could not name them all but to Verlynn Coleman (cousin) and L.C. Barrett a.k.a. Red (friend) Willie the "Cat Daddy" tips his hat to you both as the nicest men he ever knew. To Steven Hamilton from Oklahoma Willie thought of you as his son.
Cat Daddy you are truly one of a kind. You are missed!
