Wilma Alexander Farmer, age 72, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away October 22, 2012 in Mena.

She was born February 27, 1940 in Highland, Arkansas to the late William Jackson May and the late Orpha Mae May. She worked in the medical profession in the nursing field and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mrs. Farmer was a loving mother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by:

Son: Myron Alexander and wife Donna of Mena, Arkansas

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Orpha May, 3 brothers, Eugene Leon, and Zane May, and 3 sisters, Glennia Miller, Christine Taylor and Rena Peters.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Union Mission Pentecostal Church of God with Brother Lewis Martin officiating. Interment follows at Cherry Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be general.
