Wilson Howard Simms, 92, of Port St. Lucie, passed away, Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Treasure Coast Hospice residence in Stuart, FL.

He was born in Jersey City, NJ. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past thirty-three year coming from Hopatcong, NJ.

He served in the United States Army during World War II, serving as an officer in the Medical Administrative Corps. He was past president of the Kidney Association of the Treasure Coast, also a life member and past president of the Port St. Lucie Lions Club.

Prior to retirement, he worked forty one years for the New York District Sales Office of U.S. Steel Manufacturing Company.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fern Simms and second wife Louise Simms and his daughter, Karen Wesson.

Survivors include his granddaughter, Lynn F. Smith of Montgomery, IL, many nieces and nephews.
