Winifred (Winnie) Fry Stanley, age 92, a resident of Albuquerque, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2011 after a short illness. She joins her husband, Harold, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her one son, Terry Lynn Stanley and wife, Kathy; two grandchildren, Gavin Scott Stanley and wife, Victoria and Shannon Lynn Stanley; and her first great-grandchild, Tessa Lynn Stanley. Born in 1919 in Iowa, Winnie moved to Albuquerque in 1946. She was an avid dog lover and adopted many pets throughout her life. Winnie made many friends at Altura Dog Park. Dolly, her beloved Pomeranian was at her side when she passed. Winnie was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit French-University on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Winifred would love memorial contributions be made to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico, 615 Virginia SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 .
