Winsie Simpson Brooks Stager Winsie Stager passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the age of 83. Winsie was born on March 23, 1930 in Houston, Texas, and later moved to San Antonio where she met her first husband. They married on June 28, 1952. Winsie survived two husbands, Beverly Joseph Brooks and John Stager, one brother, Harvey Simpson and two sisters, Kathryn Montano and Diane Simpson Neely. She is survived by one brother, Richard Simpson, four children, Larry Ellis Brooks, Terry Brooks Seelig, Nancy Brooks McLeod and John Edward Brooks, and two grandchildren, Danielle Seelig Page and Dane Thompson. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
