Zelda Albrecht, 101, of Stevensville, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph with Pastor Wade Panse officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens. Friends may visit from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph First United Methodist Church. Zelda was born June 23, 1910 in St. Joseph, MI to Louis & Ellen (Mundt) Metzger. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1927. On September 6, 1933 she married Henry Albrecht in Benton Harbor. Zelda worked for Canteen Co. as a Controller for 43 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph First United Methodist Woman's Group for 15 years and Past Treasurer of St. Joseph High School Band Parents. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening.

Zelda is survived by her daughter Vicki Bors of Dalton, GA; son Dale (Judy) Albrecht of Livingston, TX; five grandchildren Kelly David (Crystal) Bors, Linde Bors, Maria Bors, James (Violetta) Albrecht and Greg Albrecht; 6 great grandchildren. Zelda was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry Albrecht, sisters Clarabelle Kunde and Elmeda Keeter, and son-in-law David Bors.
