Zelma Mae (Norrington) Kemp, 76, of Evansville, went home to be with the Lord on November 23, 2010. Zelma was preceded in death by her husband Troy, daughter Christine Cook, and son Danny Kemp. Zelma Married the love of her life, Troy Kemp on May 23rd 1952. They were married 53 years when her beloved husband passed away on March 16th 2005. Zelma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church. She loved the lord and her family with all her heart. Zelma enjoyed painting ceramic and chalk figurines. She also liked to embroider quilt tops. She was an avid collector of all sorts. Zelma's first job was as a waitress at Woolworth's Downtown and the last job she worked was at Kent Plastics. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by daughter Charmayne Greene, Son David Michael Kemp (Patty), daughter Sherry Watson (Claude), 11 grandchildren: Troy Cook, Kelly Morgan, Dutsel Greene, Christy Kemp, Amy Like, Donnie Cook, David Ludwick, Abel Ludwick, Cassi Watson, Matthew Greene, and J.R. Greene; 14 great grandchildren; sisters Violet Biddle, JoAnn Hatfield, Betty Craig, Linda Norrick, and Dianna Wahl; brothers Larry Norrington and Jerry Norrington. Visitation is Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 2:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave, Evansville, IN 47714 Services will be held Monday, November 29, 2010, at 10:00a.m. at the funeral home with Rev Stacey Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
