Dear Felix and Oliver,
My condolence on the passing of your loved one Zenaida Vendiola Tabares and my dear friend and classmate. I offer my prayers for her and your family. I only learned this sad news online from our co-schoolmate Rita Ebro E.'s links. I knew that she was fighing hard to beat the disease but she's now with our Creator who she have served well on this earth.
Thanks for this opportunity to say goodbye to Zeny, a very good woman.

I knew Zeny through the eyes of the men in her lives, Felix the husband and Oliver, their son. She was a caring person and enjoyed her garden and especially the flower beds. The first time I saw their garden was from the picture in FB, the garden was in full bloom, striking colors of different flowers and Felix indicated that Zeny loves to tend the garden and takes pride of her plants. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to all of you who she left behind. I feel your sorrow and very much so.

Zeny and I were friends since our university days at UP. We took the same course and were both members of the UP49ers.

We also worked together at Marcopper where we had lots of fun because we had a close group of friends there. And Zeny and I both worked in the Metallurgical Department.

Dear Felix & Oliver,

My condolence! Prayers and the Eucharist for Zeny and the family.

Zeny must be in Jesus's sweet embrace in the company of the Blessed Mother, the saints and angels in heaven.

------- Zeny was a gal with a ready smile!

The first thing that flashed to my mind upon learning of her demise was our trip together to Hixbar Mining, Rapurapu Island, Albay in June, 1969. That was a bonus given to us by our summer job boss Dr. Rolly Santos... We climbed the mountain to reach the site at 7 pm and made it, to the surprise of the males, for less than an hour. .....

Dear Felix and Oliver,

I am an old friend of Zeny from her U.P. days so I am a fellow “Fraulein” and also a “Fortyniner” . Living in Hayward, I have not been able to see Zeny as often as I wanted. But I do remember and enjoyed our few reunions in L.A. and also her one trip to San Francisco when I met her at the church hall where they were sharing the pictures of their pilgrimage tour. I will always remember the wonderful Easter dinner we had in your beautiful garden and the seafood that you helped prepare. Thank you again for your hospitality to my family and our French exchange student. Felix, I also treasure the card of your painting of the Pope that she gave me.
