Mrs. Helen V. (Pieklik) Sullivan, of Shrewsbury, died Friday, September 14, 2012 in Saint Vincent Hospital. She was 91.

Helen was born on November 16, 1920 in Clinton a daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Pella) Pieklek. Helen graduated from Clinton High School in 1938. She married William D. Sullivan on May 26, 1945 and has lived in Shrewsbury for over 60 years.

She worked most recently until retiring in 1987 at Data General Corporation in Southborough. Previously, she had worked in Shrewsbury at Bee Plastics and as a school cook at Shrewsbury High School for many years.

Helen was an active member of Saint Anne's Church, the Shrewsbury Sportsman's Club and the Gold Star Wives of America.

She enjoyed her many hobbies and interests included knitting, reading, Foxwoods and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Bill, died March 28, 1978. She is also predeceased by her siblings, Joseph and Henry Pieklik and Sally Kearnan.

She leaves her sons, Bruce C. Sullivan and his wife, Doris, of Shrewsbury and Paul W. Sullivan and his wife, Leonora, of Peterborough, New Hampshire; her sister, Eleanor Rockwell of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Travis Sullivan and Allison Sullivan of Shrewsbury, Tara Sullivan of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Erin Sullivan of New York City and Bryan Sullivan and his wife, Tara, of Hudson; three great-grandchildren, Marco, Marina and Chloe; many nieces & nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Helen's life by gathering for calling hours at Heald & Chiampa Funeral Directors ~ The Sumner House, 5 Church Road, On the Common, Shrewsbury Center on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Saint Anne's Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
