Armando Martinez, the son of Manuel and Candida Martinez, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2012 at the age of 82. He was born on January 20, 1930 in El Paso, Texas and had been a life long resident of Long Beach, California. The retired aluminum machinist is survived by his children: Dennis A. Martinez, Daniel J. Martinez, Liza Espinoza, Teresa Martinez and Monalisa Martinez along with their mother and Armando's companion: Marylou Martinez. He is also survived by his sisters: Nellie Vazquez, Maggie Poulson, Martha Lopez, Connie Nava and brother Glen Miller; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Armando's favorite pastimes include gardening, listening to music, history, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 1:00pm in Green Hills Memorial Chapel.
