A true professional. I very much enjoyed working with Jim, and valued his judgement, advise, and friendship.

Jim was such a great man. I always knew I could count on him when we needed help. at the library. I loved his sense of humor and considered him a buddy. My sincerest sympathies to his family.

My deepest condolences to the Chiefs family. I was very proud to have been one of the 3 Bainbridge trustees to create the Bainbridge PD and hired Jim as Chief. He was the only person we interviewed who was head and shouldered above everyone. Jim knew his profession and went about his job with a manner which made everyone around him feel better. He made Bainbridge a community of people who held the BPD in high esteem. I'm proud to have known him as my friend.

Ron LaForce. Rogers, Texas.

The best police Chief anyone could have growing up!!! As his daughter Dawns high school friend and classmate, I truly can not say how much my heart extends to all the family! I have so many wonderful memories of your dad!!!

As I was telling my husband once again how amazing the slice of heaven my home town was to grow up in because how safe we all felt, I also mentioned officer Lingel. It was wonderful to read his words and to know they kept in touch.

All my thought and prayers are with you.

Jim, was a wonderful person and one of the finest human beings I have ever known. He was a professional law enforcement officer, and a honest and loyal public servant and a great friend to me. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Nick and Bev Fischbach

The "Chief" and I crossed paths a few times in my younger, wilder days .. He was always professional, fair and open to hear all sides of the story before making judgement - RIP Chief. Thank you for helping a young man find his way back to the "straight and narrow"
