So sorry to hear the news of Charles' passing. He was a remarkable person.
Like Nancy, I worked with. Mr. E when I was a teacher at Smith Middle School. He was so great with the kids -- he really taught them so much through his experiences. I also really enjoyed talking to him.

Anne, I'm sorry for your loss. I remember sitting behind you i church, only to realize that you were married to Charles. I worked at GHS with him. Fond memories of his story telling.

I'm a retired teacher who taught in Glastonbury. When I would be absent, Charles was always at the top of my list to call to take over the helm for me. 7th and 8th grade students can be a lively bunch to care for. Charles corralled them in with the right amount of firmness, a bit of humor and of course, through his marvelous story telling. These young folks had so much respect for Mr. E they would ask me
