I met Dr. Michael Fordyce in the fall of 1983 at Edison Community College. At the age of 41, I returned to college to complete my degrees in Psychology. Eight years later, Michael followed my progress from ECC to my USF Bachelor (1989) and Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling (1991). I had Michael as a teacher 30 years ago at Edison Community College and he truly changed my life. Because of taking his class during a hard time in my life, I kept his fundamentals in my thoughts always. I still have his book "the Psychology of Happiness" and have shown it to many others over the years. Because of it, I met my husband and have had a full, fulfilling life. Thank you, Michael.

I never met Dr. Fordyce in person, but his online book about happiness had a tremendous impact on my life & he will live on in a special place in my heart. After a devastating breakup, I felt hopeless...but I stumbled upon his 14 fundamentals online and am amazed how it has changed my life. As I later learned about positive psychology, I was always fascinated how the majority of modern findings were already in his 14 fundamentals. He truly was decades ahead of his time.

Thank you very much Dr. Fordyce for your contributions to happiness research. You were one of the first researchers we met in our quest to promote a better and happier society in Mexico. Your work was and still is an inspiration for all of us. We learned so much from you that you will always be a reference in our research.

Thanks again!
