Dr. King, You gave me the opportunity of a lifetime - to work full time and, at the same time, be enrolled as a full-time student at Huston-Tillotson College (University). I will be eternally grateful. Austin, and the world, has lost a giant. Rest in peace.

Dr King is the "most" important man I have met in my life time/career- I am very proud of his accomplishments in both the military and civilian sector. I moved here from NJ but Dr King made sure I knew about the history of Juneteenth and the Southwest Texas Conference as it relates to the United Methodist Church. As brother-and-sister-in-law-to Dr.John Q.Taylor King, We extend our deepest sympathy to the entire King family. Dr. King was a brilliant man who exemplified the best in character and achievement. He helped many people through the years and will be remembered as a gentleman of great purpose,integrity and love for his fellowman. We will miss him and his warmth and love.
