LeRoy Schwieterman Obituary

LeRoy Schwieterman, 85, of Burkettsville, Ohio, died December 1, 2011 in his home. He was born June 1, 1926 in Fort Recovery, Ohio to the late Joseph and Mary (Langenkamp) Schwieterman. On July 24, 1948 he married Rose Peltier, who survives in Burkettsville. Also surviving are four sons, Ron (LuAnn) Schwieterman of Fairfield, OH; Jerry Schwieterman of Loveland, OH; Mark (Sherry) Schwieterman of Morrow, OH; and David (Jan) Schwieterman of North Royalton, OH, along with three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One son, Bruce (BJ) Schwieterman, is deceased. Being the last of his family, he was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, six half-brothers, and two half-sisters. Leroy was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He also was a member of the Ft. Recovery American Legion, a twenty year member of the Burkettsville Fire Department, and served on Burkettsville Town Council. He was a lifetime member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville where he also served on Parish Council. He was an auto technician throughout his life. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 5, 2011 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, Ohio. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Burkettsville.
